UW-Whitewater improved to 3-1 overall, and 3-0 versus Division III competition, with identical 8-1 wins over UW-Oshkosh and Wheaton College at the Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin Saturday.

UW-Whitewater is ranked twenty-first in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll, and eighth in the Central Region.  Byron Balkin (Madison/Memorial) is fourteenth in Central Region singles, and Balkin and partner Mitch Osborne (Crystal Lake, IL/Central) are ninth in Central Region doubles.

Osborne leads UW-W with seven wins (7-3), followed closely by McGlashen (6-2) and Scanlan (6-2).  Balkin and Osborne have teamed up for a 7-3 mark at one doubles, with Bayliss/McGlashen (6-1) owning the best winning percentage.

UW-W will host Augustana College Friday at 12:00 at the Four Lakes Athletic Club.
