There was plenty of action in the 1-0 game with the two teams combining for 25 shots, 14 corner kicks, 20 fouls, four cautions, and one ejection.  In the first fifteen minutes alone there were five shots, one for a goal, two fouls, two corners, one caution and one offsides call.

The goal by Kron came after a Pioneer misplayed a ball and Kron dribbled around and past the UW-P goalkeeper.

The Pioneers outshot the Warhawks 14-11, including three shots in the final ten minutes.  UW-P also knocked in what they thought was the equalizer until the referee determined that Warhawk goalie, Aaron Sesselmann (Green Bay/Notre Dame Academy), had possession of the ball prior to it being kicked in the goal.

The Pioneers also won the battle of cautions and ejections, earning three of the four yellow cards issued in the game and the lone red card.

UW-W will host Carroll University on Sunday, September 25 in a 2:00 pm match at Fiskum Field.
