Ethan Niquet (Waukesha/Marquette) won the decisive match in a 5-4 Warhawk victory over Luther College on Tuesday in Orlando, Florida.
The Warhawks were down 4-2 and had to win their last three singles matches, each in a superbreaker, to defeat the Norse.
Another crucial match was at the one doubles slot where
Byron Balkin (Madison/Memorial) and
Mitch Osborne (Crystal Lake, IL/Central) rallied from being down 0-4 against the number nine ranked team in the central region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association to win by a score of 8-5. The Warhawks are now 12-4 in dual matches this season.
