Logan Fye (Rockford, IL/Winnebago) scored an unassisted goal on the second shot of the game at 4:53 to give the Warhawks a 1-0 lead.

The scoreboard was quiet until 85:43 when UW-Superior's Alberto Rivero hit the far upper corner of the net on a direct kick near the corner flag to tie the game.

Each team fired a quality shot in the last three minutes of the game but both goalkeepers made the save to preserve the tie and send the game into overtime.

A foul on the edge of the box at 95:18 awarded a penalty kick to UW-W and Fye buried it into the left side of the net to win the game for the Warhawks.

The 'Jackets outshot the Warhawks 12-10 in the game and were whistled for 20 fouls to UW-W's seven.  UW-Superior was also given two yellow cards; one in the first half and one in overtime.

Sesselmann made five saves in the game including a game saving one in the 93rd minute.

Sunday's game was also senior day where UW-W honored Kevin Kron (Willowbrook, IL/Benet Academy) and Ryan Boyd (Waunakee/Waunakee).  Boyd was a part of both of UW-W's WIAC championship teams (2009, 2010), and Kron was a part of last season's team.

UW-W sits atop the conference standings at 5-0 while UW-Oshkosh is next closest at 3-2.

The Warhawks will put their unblemished conference record on the line October 19 when they travel to UW-Platteville to take on the Pioneers in a 7:00 pm match.
