The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team, ranked seventh according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Hendrickscars.com poll and seventeenth in the d3soccer.com poll, recorded a 15-1 win over Finlandia University in Hancock, MI Sunday afternoon.

UW-W started the scoring with an own goal just 1:56 into the match to go up 1-0. Six more goals were netted in the first half including five from the Warhawks and the lone Lion goal.
Whitewater posted nine more goals in the second half including a hat trick by
Kevin Grimstad (Hartland/Arrowhead).
Five Warhawks recorded multiple scores in the contest including
Sean Gilbert (Hartland/Arrowhead),
Steve Nashleanas (Brookfield/East),
Tim Windler (South Milwaukee/South Milwaukee) and
Jake Duros (Lake Geneva/Williams Bay) with two each and the hat trick from Grimstad. Duros, Grimstad and
Bob Shone (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles East) added two assists each in the contest.
The Warhawks recorded 43 shots in the match and eight corner kicks compared to just two shots by the Lions and no corner kicks.
Whitewater's performance made marks in the UW-W record book in two categories including most goals in a match (15) and assists in a match (10).
UW-W will host the University of Dubuque Wednesday, September 29 at 7:30 pm at Fiskum Field.
