Jessa Luebke (Tomah/Tomah) placed in two events, and
Brooke Bell (Milwaukee/Alexander Hamilton) provisionally qualified for the NCAA III outdoor championship in the 100, to lead UW-Whitewater to eighth place at the Warrior Open at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota Saturday.

Team scores were: Winona 153, Wartburg 130, UW-River Falls 99, UW-La Crosse 98, Luther 96, UW-Stout 42.5, University of Minnesota 38, UW-Whitewater 32.5, Saint Cloud 29, UW-Parkside 15, and Saint Mary's 4.
In addition to leading the team in points earned, Luebke also had the team's best finish. She placed second in the hammer throw (157-4), and added seventh place in the shot put (41-10.75).
Bell placed seventh in the 100 at 12.15, her provisional time indicating how fast the competition was.
Also earning points for UW-W were
Megan Morehart (Edgerton/Milton), fourth in the 100 hurdles (15.48);
Rachel Puls (Hartford/Slinger), seventh in the triple jump (34-11.75);
Megan Blake (Waukesha/Waukesha South), joining Luebke in the hammer with a sixth place (157-4); Cailtin Koller, seventh in the pole vault (92-2.25); and Haley Tenpas, eighth in the high jump (4-11.75).
The Warrior Open was the final tuneup before the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor championship at UW-River Falls May 7-8.
