The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team moved a step closer to a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III championship berth with a 6-3 win at Carthage College in Kenosha Saturday. The Warhawks, who have earned a NCAA III berth the last two years, are 21-9 overall, 21-7 against Division III opponents.

Caiti contributed to points in both singles (now 21-10) and doubles (26-7 with Glinert). Harmatys (18-5), Scanlan (15-8), and Krieger (20-8) also improved their season records.
Whitewater is ranked tenth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Central Region poll. Glinert is twenty-fifth in singles in the region, and the partnership of Glinert and Caiati is ranked tenth in the region. The Warhawks will wait for a bid to nationals until the draws are released May 10. The NCAA III tournament will begin with regional play May 14-15-16 at a site yet to be determined.
