Altered Line-up Produces Same Results: Win

For a lot of sports teams mixing up the line-up can prove disastorous, but the Warhawks women's tennis team proved the opposite after a 9-0 victory over Edgewood College on Saturday in Whitewater.  The women had several regular singles players sit out to give younger players some more experience and used different combinations in doubles to see how they would work together.  The Warhawks are now 18-5 and ranked eighteenth in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Warhawks only lost two games in the three doubles matches and won all but one singles match in straight sets.  Kelly Foster (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West ) made her first non-tournament start at six singles and earned a victory after winning a tough first set 7-5 and then shutting out her opponent in set two.
