In the final meet before the NCAA Division III Men's Track and Field Championships, several season best performances and a school record were recorded in the UW-Stevens Point Last Last Chance Meet Saturday.

In the men's 4x400 meter relay, the UW-Whitewater team finished fifth out of ten teams with a time of 3:18.96. The time not only improved their NCAA provisional mark, it is also a new school record. The previous record was 3:19.25 set by the team of Mike Berendes, Brian Butzler, Jon Otte, and Rodney Swanson in 2007.
Along with a school record being broken, season best times were also posted during the meet. The UW-W distance medley team of freshman Jeremie Bogard (Racine/Horlick), sophomore Joe Dixon (Milwaukee/Rufus King), junior Brakken Kraker (West Allis/West Allis Central), and junior Aron Kehoe (Monroe/Monroe) set the mark at 10:00.54 by coming in first out of seven teams. The time also improved their NCAA provisional mark.
Senior Joe Schneider (Wausau, WI/Wausau) also broke his own season best as well as NCAA provisional mark in the shot put. Schneider came in fourth place with a distance of 15.80m/51-10.00.
UW-W will await word on how many athletes will get in to the field for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship March 12-13 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. The field will be announced late Monday.
