The Warhawk men's tennis team continued their winning ways on Saturday with a 9-0 victory over Salem State University in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Warhawks are now 8-6 overall. UW-W won a match earlier on Saturday against Manhattanville 7-2.
UW-W made quick work of the Vikings in all but two matches. After winning the first three doubles matches by dropping only five games, the 'Hawks won five of the six singles flights in straight sets. Two of the singles matches, the number one and the number three flights, took a little longer than the rest.
At number one singles
Danny Glinert (Madison/Edgewood) fought through three sets to defeat Adrien Malosse in a tiebreak 12-10. At the three singles spot
Kyle Halweg (Waunakee/Waunakee) defeated Alex Eisath dropping four games in the first set and three in the second. At the other four singles slots a total of six games were lost in straight set victories.
