Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American Third Team for the second consecutive year.
Billson is studying Mathematics, with an emphasis in Actuarial Sciences, and has a 3.88 grade point average as a junior. Billson is the first Warhawk men's tennis athlete to earn the award multiple times earning third team Academic All-American in 2025. Â
On the court, Billson was recognized as the WIAC West Division Player of the Year for the second time, and was selected to represent the Warhawks in the NCAA Individual Tournament.Â
Billson advance to the second round of the Individual tournament with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Alejandro Gonzales from Kenyon in the first round. With the win, Billson became the seventh Warhawk in history to reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament.Â
The CSC Academic All-American teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, the student-athlete must first be selected to the Academic All-District team. Then the top qualifying All-District selections are voted on by the CSC to reach the Academic All-American Teams.Â
