Men's Tennis Falls to #18 University of Chicago and #27 Luther College

Whitewater faced two nationally ranked teams today at the Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison, Wisconsin.  Luther College defeated UW-Whitewater 5-4 in the first of two matches. Luther College was ranked twenty-seventh in the Division III poll by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Eighteenth ranked University of Chicago toppled UW-Whitewater 7-2 in the night match.

Zhang, University of Chicago's number one player, is ranked twelfth in Division III.

This is just the second and third match of the of the season for UW-W.  The Warhawks opened with a loss against the Division I University of Wisconsin-Madison.

UW-Whitewater, looking for a return trip to the NCAA III championship tournament, will play next February 12-13.  The Warhawks will host Wheaton College (IL) at the Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin at 5:00 Friday, then move in to the Kachel Fieldhouse for two matches Saturday.  Saturday's schedule has UW-W facing Hope College at 1:00 and UW-Oshkosh at 5:00.
