The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team lost in overtime 2-1 against Olivet College Sunday, September 20.

The Warhawks got on the board first as Sean Gilbert (Hartland/Arrowhead) scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Logan Gye in the thirty-eighth minute.

Olivet was able to tie the game in the eighty-first minute on a goal from Mike May.

At the end of regular play the score remained tied 1-1.

Just 1:10 into overtime Olivet's Carlos Alejos scored the game winning goal.

The team stats for both teams were similar except for corner kicks where UW-W had nine to Olivet's four.

The loss drops UW-W to 3-3-1 on the season as Olivet improves to 4-2.

Whitewater returns home for a match against Carroll University Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m.
