The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team defeated UW-Superior 4-0 on Saturday at Robert W. Fiskum Field in Whitewater.  The Warhawks even their record at 2-2-0 while Superior falls to 2-2-1.

Luke Buchholz (Whitewater/Whitewater) scored the first of his two goals in the fourth minute of the match.  His goal was assisted by Dan Montanye (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) and Matt Gehn (Oregon/Oregon).  Just six minutes later Buchholz found the back of the net again on another pass from Montanye.  The Warhawks took a 3-0 lead in the nineteenth minute on Zach Rewasiewicz (South Milwaukee/South Milwaukee)'s first goal of the season, assisted by Buchholz.

The Warhawks scored their final goal of the match when Jake Duros (Lake Geneva/Williams Bay) buried another Buchholz assist in the back of the net.

Goalkeepers Andrew Krueger (New Berlin/Catholic Memorial) and Aaron Sesselmann (Green Bay/Notre Dame Academy) split time to earn the shutout for the Warhawks.

UW-W outshot UW-Superior 23-3 and had 12 corner kicks to Superior's zero.

The Warhawks play again on Sunday against Wartburg at 5 pm at Robert W. Fiskum Field in Whitewater.
