Brandon Tamsett (Waterford/Waterford-Union), Senior, Defensive Lineman
Tamsett registered four tackles, including 1.5 sacks, to help the second-ranked Warhawks to a 30-24 victory at UW-Platteville in Saturday's 22nd annual George Chryst Bowl for the Miner's Axe. He combined with John Flood (Spring Grove, IL/Richmond-Burton Community) for a sack early in the second quarter on a third-and-2 to help force a Pioneer punt. Later in the same period, he sacked Tom Kelly for a loss of four yards on a drive where UW-Platteville eventually settled for a field goal attempt, which was missed. Tamsett's other two stops held Pioneer running plays to three yards or fewer.
