Fassbender topped a field of 36 competitors to win the 400-meter dash with a career-best time of 59.64 seconds Friday at the Drake Alternative Meet at Rex Foster Track. She currently ranks ninth in the WIAC in the event and is also among the top 10 in both the 800-meter run and 1,500-meter run.
