McDonald reached the podium (top eight) in the pole vault at her last three conference meets for the Warhawk women's track and field team, placing eighth at the 2020 WIAC Indoor Championships with a height of 11-03.00 (3.43 meters). She finished sixth at the 2019 WIAC Indoor Championships and fourth at the 2019 WIAC Outdoor Championships with a career-best 11-04.25 (3.46 meters). McDonald is a 2019-20 UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete and a three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. She is majoring in marketing.
