Hornstein qualified for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the pole vault in each of her seasons at UW-Whitewater, most recently finishing 14th at the 2020 WIAC Indoor Championships in the event. She posted a career-best 10-10.25 (3.31 meters) on May 10, 2019, at UW-La Crosse's Eagle Open. Hornstein is a three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and was recently named a UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete. She is majoring in biology with a minor in environmental studies.
