Luke Martinson enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the UW-Whitewater volleyball team in 2021. He started as a student assistant for the program during the 2021 spring semester.
Martinson has worked as a coach and administrator for several volleyball camps, including VolleyBrothers (2019-21), Fox Valley Performance (2021) and Pace Setters (2018). He is currently co-owner and camp director for VolleyBrothers.
As a member of the UW-Whitewater men's club volleyball team from 2018-21, Martinson led the Warhawks to conference championships in 2019 and 2020, and was named honorable mention all-conference. The team was twice ranked nationally in Division 1A during his tenure. Martinson started his volleyball career at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, helping the Vikings claim the NAIA national championship in 2018.
A native of Appleton, Wis., Martinson graduated with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in coaching from UW-Whitewater in 2021. He is currently pursuing a master's in professional studies from UW-W.
