Carly Pottle enters her fourth season as an assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team in 2020. She completed a two-year graduate assistantship with the program following the 2018 season.
Pottle helped UW-Whitewater sweep the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships and earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2019. She helped the Warhawks reach the NCAA Tournament for the seventh consecutive season and finish with a 14-4-4 record in 2017.
A four-year member of the team from 2013-16, Pottle helped UW-Whitewater claim three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championships, two conference tournament titles and four trips to the NCAA Tournament, including a trip to the national quarterfinals in 2015. She started all four years and finished her career among the top five in program history in goals (37), assists (20) and points (94).
Pottle was a three-time first team All-WIAC selection and two-time All-North Region honoree. She was a four-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and was named a UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete following her senior season.
A native of St. Charles, Ill., Pottle graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's in physical education with an emphasis in health, human performance and recreation and a minor in coaching. She earned a master of education in professional development (athletic administration) at UW-Whitewater in 2019.
