Josh Rohde

Josh Rohde enters his third season as an assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team in 2017. He will work primarily with the goalkeepers.

Rohde entered the coaching ranks after a standout, three-year career with the Warhawks from 2012-14. After making six starts at goalkeeper as a member of the UW-Milwaukee men's soccer program in 2011, Rohde transferred to UW-Whitewater and made an immediate impact on the team.

A two-year starter, Rohde helped the Warhawks reach the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament as a senior captain in 2014. He was named third team NSCAA/NCAA Division III All-North Region, second team All-WIAC and honorable mention NSCAA Wisconsin all-state. Rohde led the conference in save percentage (.815) and shutouts (6.2) during his senior campaign. He wrapped up his career with 12 shutouts, fourth-most in program history.

Rohde was highly involved on and off campus during his undergraduate career. He worked as a goalkeeper coach at various camps around the Midwest and served as a student worker on UW-Whitewater Athletics' event management staff. Rohde volunteered at the Burlington Music Festival and the Whitewater Parks and Recreation's After School Program.

During his final semester at UW-Whitewater, Rohde was a member of the Warhawk Leadership Academy pilot group and was a student assistant for the Warhawks during the team's spring season.

Rohde is the owner, founder and director of Divergent Goalkeeping Academy, a training program that specializes in goalkeeper specific training based in the Waukesha area. He is also a member of the Milwaukee Torrent, a professional outdoor team in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).

Rohde also works as an account manager at PEGLIYL, a brand specializing in goalkeeper gloves, and is director of goalkeeping for the Croatian Eagles Soccer Club. He served for three years as development with FC Wisconsin from 2013-15.

Over the summer of 2016, Rohde was named honorable mention in the Premier League of America's Best of the West Division.

A Waukesha native, Rohde graduated with a bachelor's in general management from UW-Whitewater in 2015. He is currently enrolled in UW-Whitewater's Higher Education Leadership program with an emphasis on Athletics Administration.
