Tom Karthausser enters his fourth season on the UW-W coaching staff. An alumnus of UW-Whitewater, Tom earned four varsity letters playing defensive back for the Warhawks during the 2000-2003 seasons under head coach Bob Berezowitz. During his senior season at Whitewater, Tom was elected as the team’s defensive captain by his teammates.
Upon graduating from Whitewater, Tom began coaching high school football in the North Shore Conference. During the 2004 and 2005 seasons, Tom coached the varsity defensive backs at Whitefish Bay High School. From 2006 to 2007, he served as Nicolet High School’s defensive coordinator. After the 2007 season, Tom returned to UW-Whitewater.
Tom works as in the Academic Advising & Exploration Center on campus. He also teaches in the math department, having taught courses ranging from algebra to actuarial mathematics. Tom also works extensively with the football team’s academic support services. Tom lives in East Troy with his wife Andrea.
