Current Opportunities:
The UW-Whitewater Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is the coordinating group for Warhawk Outreach. Visit
this page to learn more about the group.
Reading with the WarhawksDirected by SAAC, individuals are assigned to Whitewater Elementary schools to read with students.

Community Food DriveDirected by SAAC, student-athletes collect food items for the local Whitewater food pantry. This occurs each year during the holiday season.
Make a Difference DayLocally, UW-Whitewater student-athletes help local communities to identify needs and pair student and community volunteers with these needs. Over the past eight years of service (starting in 2005), more than 4,500 volunteers have completed various projects, totaling more than 14,000 hours of service.
Polar Plunge
As a main fundraiser for the Special Olympics, Warhawk student-athletes participate in the Polar Plunge each January. This event is located at Cravath Lake in Whitewater. Student-athletes collectively have raised over $3,000.

Campus Student-Athlete Volunteer RequestsCampus requests for student-athlete participation should be submitted to Dr. Kristina Navarro (
navarrok@uww.edu) by August 15 for fall semester and December 1 for spring semester. The WLA board will review requests in September and December to determine service agenda for the year.
