Saint Thomas opened the scoring with a run in the second.  Sam Miller singled, stole second, advanced to third on a ground ball, and scored on a Jack Hogan single to stack the Tommies to an early lead.  The Tommies scored their second run with the aid of two Whitewater fielding miscues to make it 2-0 after three.  Saint Thomas tacked on two more in the fourth to go up 4-0.    And then the tables turned.  Jared Fon cut the deficit with a two run homer, the first  of three consecutive extra base hits, and the five run rally wrested the lead from UST, Whitewater leading 5-4.  Dylan Thomas’ two run home run in the bottom of the sixth regained the lead, 6-5, for Saint Thomas.  Thomas produced three runs, of four in the inning, with a homer in the seventh, and the Tommies went up 10-5.  The Warhawks scored one in the top of the eight but left the bases loaded before any further damage could be done.
 
Saint Thomas used four pitchers with Tommy Danczyk earning the victory.
 
The win by Saint Thomas (38-3) advances them to the 2012 NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin beginning on Friday, May 25.
 
UW-W ends the season with a 33-17 record.
