Eau Claire, Wis. -- The No. 2 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team improved to 10-0 on the season with a 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-10, 25-12) win over St. Catherine in the 12th Annual Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament Saturday.
The Warhawk offense registered yet another match with a team attack percentage over .300 Saturday. UWW hammered down at least 14 kills in each set, hitting .311 as a squad. Meanwhile the defense held SCU to a team attack efficiency of just .116. The spotlight set for the defense was third as UWW allowed just three kills and held SCU to an attack percentage of -0.08.
Abbie Dix (Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead) was a force to be reckoned with at the net. She registered a career-high 20 kills in the contest. The junior middle hit .600 with just two attack errors adding five blocks in the four setter. Fellow middle
Amanda Hillmann (Cedarburg, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) joined Dix in double digits with 12 kills. Setter
Aubrie Krzus (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South) also hit double figures with 10 kills to go with 47 assists in the match.
Kylee Altendorf (West Bend, Wis./West) was the most efficient. The outside hammered down 9 kills in 12 attempts without a miscue - an attack percentage of .750.

Natalie Lawton (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) posted 23 digs with
Kyanne Wusterbarth (Oconto, Wis./Oconto) and
Emma Bludgen (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) each adding 10.
UW-Whitewater is back on the road next weekend for more invitational action in the St. Olaf/Carleton Invite. The Warhawks will take on Gustavus Adolphus and St. Olaf Saturday at 2 and 4 p.m. respectively in Northfield, Minnesota.
