Christian Patzka (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) led a group of three Warhawks competing in the 3,000 at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University Saturday. The meet featured professional runners, national team representatives and all divisions of the NCAA.
Patzka registered a time of 8:05.21 to break his own record he previously set in 2023. That mark was 44th at the meet in a field of over 230 runners.
Gunner Schlender (Brillion, Wis./Brillion) was right behind with his own personal best - 8:06.85 - to finish 48th.
Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell) followed suit posting a time of 8:13.26 to finish 62nd.
The rest of the Warhawk men's track and field program competed in the
Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational held in Whitewater Friday and Saturday.
