2025 Soccer Academic All District

Warhawk Soccer Collects 10 Academic All-District Awards

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's soccer team featured 10 student athletes on the the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams. Selected by College Sports Communicators, the Academic All-District Award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. 

In order to qualify, student athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically with over a 3.50 GPA. In addition to the success in the classroom, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. 

Six Warhawks qualified from the women's soccer team: Rachel Cvikel (Franklin, Wis./Saint Thomas More), Kalee Fricke (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls), Anna Gunderson (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago), Jenna Laidlaw (Aberdeen, Scotland/Aberdeen Grammar), Nicole Riberich (Reedsburg, Wis/Reedsburg), Isabella Torres (Joliet, Ill./Central).

The six women have an average GPA of 3.85. Cvikel and Laidlaw are both in the Health & Human Performance bachelor's degree. Fricke is a sophomore in Criminology. Gunderson is a junior in the College of Letters and Sciences. Riberich is a junior in the Elementary/Middle Education program. Torres is in UW-Whitewater's BBA program studying Management. 

Four men's soccer student athletes qualified: Mason Diercks (Oregon, Wis./Oregon), Aidan Glancey (Milwaukee, Wis./Whitnall), James Kiraly (Twin Lakes, Wis./Wilmot Union), and Matt White (Bangor, Northern Ireland/Bangor Grammar).

Diercks is an academic senior achieving his degree in Supply Chain Management. Glancey and Kiraly are both in the Finance bachelor's program. White is an academic senior in the Health & Human Performance degree.
