Fourteen Warhawks have been selected to 2025 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football teams. UW-Whitewater garnered 15 total All-WIAC honors this season.
The UWW defense has been the best in the league nearly all season. The Warhawks have the conference's top scoring defense (14.7 points allowed per game), best total defense (262.3 yards allowed per game) and number one rushing defense (72.5 yards allowed per game). Leading the defensive unit are three First Team All-WIAC honorees, four Second Team selections and an Honorable Mention pick.
Noah Moris (Union Grove, Wis./Union Grove) picked up his second consecutive all-conference honor after leading the league in sacks with six this season. Fellow defensive lineman
Lucas Sadler (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) was a second team selection this season.
In the linebacker unit,
Ethan Gallagher (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) and
Karsten Libby (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) - both First Team picks - lead UWW. Gallagher is ranked fourth in the league in tackles (90) while Libby is ninth (69). The duo ranks among the top six in tackles for a loss and has combined for 17 tackles for a loss. This is the third straight all-league honor for Gallagher and second consecutive for Libby.
The secondary is well-represented with three Second Team selections and an Honorable Mention pick.
Paul Kim (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Parker) picked up his second straight All-WIAC honor and is joined on the Second Team by
Deven Magli (Deforest, Wis./Deforest) and
Efrein Ramirez (Minooka, Ill./Minooka).
Kaden Sleets (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park River Forest) added Honorable Mention honors. All four rank among the top 20 in the WIAC in passes defended while Magli has recorded a league-leading four interceptions this season.
On the offensive side,
Tyler Vasey (Crystal Lake, Ill/Prairie Ridge) was a two-time selection this season bringing his career total to five (2023 Second Team and Newcomer of the Year, 2024). The electric kick returner was a First Team pick as a return specialist and an honorable mention selection as an all-purpose back.
Brian Stanton (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) added a second honor for the Warhawk backs with Second Team honors. Stanton is ranked fifth in the league with 66.3 rushing yards per game. His 633 yards on the ground is second among the league's running backs.
Leading the way for the backs, offensive lineman
Alex Pethan (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) (First Team),
Troy Dietzler (Ashwaubenon, Wis./Ashwaubenon) (Second Team) and
Evan Oberg (Deforest, Wis./Deforest) (Honorable Mention) earned all-league recognition. Pethan is now a three-time selection while Oberg tallied his second career all-conference nod.
Senior defensive lineman
Braeden Barrett (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) represented UW-Whitewater on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
UW-Whitewater continues its 2025 campaign in the postseason on November 29. The Warhawks will host DePauw University for the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship after receiving a first round bye. Kickoff is slated for noon at Perkins Stadium.
