Ketterhagen Ford Football Preview: Game 8 at UW-River Falls

The Warhawks are back on the road this week for another top ten matchup against the Falcons in River Falls on the docket Saturday. Kickoff at Smith Field at Ramer Stadium is set for 1 PM. FansĀ 

Fans heading to the game in River Falls must purchase tickets online ahead of the game. No cash or card will be accepted for tickets at the gate on Saturday.Ā 

RANKINGS
The Warhawks are ranked eighth in the latest American Football Coaches Association poll and D3football.com polls. UW-River Falls is ranked ninth in each national poll.Ā 

SERIES
Saturday marks the 67th meeting between these two WIAC squads. The Warhawks have won the last 22 games and hold a 44-20-2 record in the all-time series. Since 1966, UWW is 19-10-1 against the Falcons on their home field.Ā 

LAST TIME OUT - UWW
UW-Whitewater reclaimed the Miner's Axe in a 29-19 win over UW-Platteville in the 32nd edition of the George Chryst Memorial Bowl last week. The Warhawks used to a 15-point fourth quarter to secure the win.Ā 

Blake Haggerty (Castle Rock, Colo./Castle View) had a monster game with a hand in all 15 fourth-quarter points. He hauled in a pair of touchdown catches and was on the receiving end of a successful two-point conversion. Haggerty ended up with 75 yards on five receptions. Justin Klinkner (Two Rivers, Wis./Two Rivers) was 18-28 for 264 yards and three passing touchdowns. Brian Stanton (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) bolstered the run game with 78 yards on 12 carries.Ā 

Defensively, Ethan Gallagher (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) paced the Warhawks with 14 tackles and a pass breakup. Efrein Ramirez (Minooka, Ill./Minooka), Paul Kim (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Parker) and Kaden Sleets (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park River Forest) all registered interceptions in the game.Ā 

LAST TIME OUT - UWRF
The Falcons scored 28 points in the first quarter at UW-Eau Claire en route to a 73-21 win over Blugolds.Ā 

Quarterback Kaleb Blaha was perfect in the passing game completing all 17 of his attempts. He posted 195 yards passing with three TDs through the air. Blaha added a fourth touchdown with his legs. Cade Fitzgerald tallied 136 yards on 16 rushes.Ā 

Conner Preston led the defense with five tackles as UWRF held the Blugolds to just 16 yards rushing.Ā
