Box Score The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team fell to a solid Carleton team 3-1 on the road Saturday.
Carleton opened the scoring in the ninth minute of the contest for the lone goal of the first half.
In the second half, Carleton struck again in the 49th minute, but the Warhawks would have an answer less that a minute later. In the 59th minute,
Jenna Laidlaw (Aberdeen, Scotland/Aberdeen Grammar) found the back of the net as the shot deflected off a Carleton defender.
The flurry of offensive action led to another goal in the 52nd minute as Carleton pushed the lead back to two.
Emily Thill (West Chicago, Ill./St. Francis) registered a pair of shots including one on goal in the game.
Brittany Ellinghaus (Plainfield, Ill./North) added another scoring opportunity with Laidlaw scoring on her sole shot on target.
Greta Harms (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) and
Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) split time in net combining for eight saves in the contest.
