Full Men's and Women's Basketball Release

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball forward Carter Capstran (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) and guard Isaac Verges (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District list.

The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be of at least sophomore status and carry a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. Student-athletes must have competed in 90-percent of the team's games or started in at least 66-percent of the team's contests to be eligible. 

Carter Capstran (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) started in 25 games for the Warhawks this season. Capstran averaged just over 5 points and 4 rebounds per game during the 2023-24 season. Capstran carries a 3.60 GPA as a Finance/Marketing major

Isaac Verges (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) competed in all 26 games for the Warhawks, starting in two games. Verges was a strong defender off the bench, recording 22 steals in the 2023-24 season. Verges carries a 3.65 GPA in Accounting/Finance.
