Three UW-Whitewater men's basketball players have been recognized by College Sports Communicators for their success in the classroom this year.
Two seniors,
Joey Berezowitz (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) and
Isaac Verges (Franklin, Wis./Franklin), represent the Warhawks on this year's All-District List. Berezowitz recorded a 3.68 grade point average in the Physical Education program. Verges, a three-time selection to the All-District team, has a 3.543 grade point average in the Finance program. Verges was named to the All-District team in 2024, 2025, and now 2026.
The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be of at least sophomore status and carry a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. Student-athletes must have competed in 90-percent of the team's games or started in at least 66-percent of the team's contests to be eligible.
