Ketterhagen Ford Football Preview -- Game 8 vs. UW-River Falls

UW-Whitewater returns to Perkins Stadium this week for the team's home finale. The Warhawks will host UW-River Falls at 1 PM in the annual Homecoming and Hall of Fame Game. 

The Warhawks are receiving votes in the latest D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association Division III polls. UW-River Falls is 21st and 20th respectively in the pair of national polls. 

UWW LAST TIME OUT
The Warhawks fell to UW-Platteville 17-10 in the annual George Chryst Memorial Bowl. Jackson Chryst (Orinda, Calif./Palo Alto) was 18-for-39 in the pocket for 254 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the game. Brian Wilterdink (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) and Tyler Vasey (Crystal Lake, Ill/Prairie Ridge) caught five passes each combining for 156 yards through the air. 

Noah Battle (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove) paced the UWW ground game with 80 yards on 11 attempts - an average of 7.3 per rush. He was named UW-Whitewater's Offensive Player of the Game for his efforts. 

Defensively, Ethan Gallagher (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) posted 11 tackled including five solo en route to Defensive MVP honors. 

UWRF LAST TIME OUT

The Falcons fell at UW-La Crosse 28-24 last Saturday. Riley Warzynski led UWRF in the passing game going 21-for-31 for 241 yards with a touchdown and an interception. 

Michael Krueger was tapped for the majority of carries registering 56 yards on 14 attempts - an average of 4.0 per carry. Austin Rush was the go-to target for the Falcons last week. He hauled in nine catches for 131 yards including a touchdown grab. 

Defensively, Aaron Borgerding notched a game-high 16 tackles in the contest.

SERIES
This is the 66th meeting between the Warhawks and Falcons. UW-Whitewater holds the current win streak in the series - 21 games. The last win for UWRF was in 2001 - a 34-31 win for the Falcons in Whitewater. 

The Warhawks have won the last 10 Homecoming contests and hold an all-time record of 74-24-1 in the annual game. UW-Whitewater has hosted the Falcons 13 times on Homecoming -- the Warhawks have won 10 of those matchups.
