The following University of Wisconsin-Whitewater athletes have been recognized by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of October 7th - 13th

Men's Soccer Defense

Matt Vollmer – Senior – Goalkeeper – Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich

Matt Vollmer recorded a clean sheet against regionally ranked Millikin last week. Vollmer went the full 90 recording five saves in the complete game shutout

Abbie Dix

Volleyball Defense

Abbie Dix – Sophomore – Middle Hitter – Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead

Abbie Dix bolstered the Warhawk defense in a 3-0 sweep of No. 21 North Park University Saturday. Dix entered the UW-Whitewater record book with 11 blocks in the match – a mark that is tied for second-most in program history – including a pair of solos and nine assisted. The sophomore is now ranked third nationally averaging 1.36 blocks per set. For the week, Dix posted 3.67 blocks and 1.00 kills per set.

Women's Tennis Doubles: 

Abby Weaver – Freshman – Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian & Gracie Ha – Junior – Palatine, Ill./Fremd

Abby Weaver and Gracie Ha helped the Warhawks go 4-0 last week. The pair did not drop a single game going 28-0 over the four-match span. The duo topped Lawrence and Edgewood before picking up shutouts over UW-River Falls and UW-Stout Saturday.
