Basketball

Madson, Collin

Men’s Basketball – Collin Madson – Junior – Guard – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago 

Collin Madson set a new career mark with a 33-point game against Lawrence College on December 10th. The junior went 12-for-15 from the floor with five three-pointers on his way to the 33 points. In the following game against Carroll University on December 13th, Madson scored 22 points to help the Warhawks finish the week 2-0. Through the two games, Madson averaged 27.5 points per game on 72.4% shooting from the floor.

Rittmeyer, Renee

Women’s Basketball: Renee Rittmeyer – Senior – Guard – Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago

Renee Rittmeyer led UW-Whitewater to a 77-66 win at Knox College Saturday. The senior paced the Warhawk offense with 20 points on 7-14 from the floor, a perfect 2-2 from three-point range and 4-5 from the charity stripe. Rittmeyer also led UWW on the glass with nine rebounds adding a pair of assists and three steals in the win.

Wrestling

Mallinder, Dominik

Wrestling: Dominik Mallinder – Senior – 149 Pounds – Roselle, Ill./Lake Park

Dominik Mallinder knocked off the top-ranked wrestler in the nation en route to a 5-0 record on the mat last week. Mallinder opened the week with a 21-5 technical fall (6:30) win over UW-Platteville’s Zack Ries. At the North Central Invitational, the third-ranked Mallinder registered a major decision (18-8) win over #13 Ty Koedem of Coe, followed by a pair of decisions over Tyler Starr (North Central, 6-2) and Nate Camiscioli (Castleton, 3-2). In the 149-pound championship, Mallinder defeated #1 Matt Randolph (Augsburg) by 9-3 decision.
