The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team, ranked eighth in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, swept UW-La Crosse 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-20) Wednesday night in Russell Arena. The Warhawks improve to 11-2 overall and 1-1 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with the win.
Ally Warburton (St. Charles, Ill./North) set the tone in the first set hammering down seven kills in nine attempts while committing just one attack error. Fellow outside hitter
Jenna Weinfurt (Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) registered five kills in ten attempts as UWW hit .387 in the set.
The Warhawk defense held the Eagles to a negative attack percentage in the second set while UW-Whitewater middle hitter
Kirsten Anderson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) outhit UWL by herself. Anderson pounded down five kills in six attempts without at an attack error while UWL posted just three kills as a team in the set.
Anderson continued to roll offensively through the third set adding four kills in seven attempts. She was nearly flawless in the match posting an incredible .647 attack percentage with 11 kills in 17 attempts with zero attack errors. Warburton hit .421 with 11 kills in 19 attempts and Weinfurt led all hitters with 12 kills.

Aubrie Krzus (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South) set up her attackers on 32 kills and led all servers with three aces. In the backcourt,
Morgan Jensen (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) led all players with 13 digs.
