Fassbender, Patzka Improve National Ranks at Last Chance Meet

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field program sent a select number of Warhawks to compete in a last chance qualifier hosted by Augustana College yesterday. Paige Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) and Christian Patzka (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) improved national rankings in a pair of events to top 20 marks. 

Fassbender was clocked in 2:11.33 in the 800, a mark that ranks 16th in Division III. Patzka posted the seventh-fastest DIII time in the 1500 this season crossing the line in 3:45.34.

Selections for the 2023 NCAA Division III Track and Field Outdoor Championships will be released today on NCAA.com. The outdoor championship meet will be held May 25-27 at Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, NY.
