The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater track and field program finished first in an eight-team field in both the men's and women's competition in the Rex Foster Invitational in Whitewater Friday. 

Men's Team Scores: UWW 249, UWSP 135, MSOE 122, Augustana 83, Carroll 65, Beloit 30, Marquette 20, UW-Superior 19

Women's Team Scores: UWW 213.5, MSOE 148, UWSP 96.5, Beloit 77, Augustana 60, Carroll 37, UW-Superior 14, Marquette 8

Numerous Warhawks finished among the top eight adding points to the team total with a plethora of individual event winners representing UW-Whitewater Friday. The meet brought a number of highlight marks throughout the afternoon and into the evening. 

Tina Shelton (Janesville, Wis./Parker) was clocked in 11.80 in the preliminaries of the 100 meter dash. That mark is third in the nation this season. Justin Krause (Ixonia, Wis./Pewaukee) crossed the line in the 1500 in 3:53.14 - a top 20 time in Division III - as the Warhawks swept the top four spots in the event. 

Josh Krystosek (Palmyra, Wis./Palmyra-Eagle) registered a jump of 2.00 meters (6-6.75) to win the high jump with a height that ties for the eighth highest in the country so far this season. Shelvin Garrett II (Beloit, Wis./Memorial) and Brayden Zettle (Monroe, Wis./Monroe) finished 1-2 in the triple jump with with leaps of 14.46 meters (47-5.25) and 14.12 meters (46-4) respectively - both top 20 marks in Division III. 

Kenni Czarnecki's (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) toss of 41.15 meters (135-00) in the discus moves into the top 20 in the nation as did her hammer throw distance of 48.62 meters (159-06).

The men's and women's 4x400 relay squads finished first. The women's foursome included Carleen Snow (Rio, Wis./DeForest), Roxanne Temple (Ingleside, Ill./Grant Community), Emma Shingledecker (New Berlin, Wis./West) and Kristan Larson (Rio, Wis./Rio) while the men's squad featured Marlon Cystrunk (DeForest, Wis./DeForest), Zanis, Will Kaashagen (Cambridge, Wis./Cambridge) and Brad Heller (Brookfield, WI/East).
