The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater track and field program finished first in an eight-team field in both the men's and women's competition in the Rex Foster Invitational in Whitewater Friday.

Numerous Warhawks finished among the top eight adding points to the team total with a plethora of individual event winners representing UW-Whitewater Friday. The meet brought a number of highlight marks throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
Tina Shelton (Janesville, Wis./Parker) was clocked in 11.80 in the preliminaries of the 100 meter dash. That mark is third in the nation this season.
Justin Krause (Ixonia, Wis./Pewaukee) crossed the line in the 1500 in 3:53.14 - a top 20 time in Division III - as the Warhawks swept the top four spots in the event.
Josh Krystosek (Palmyra, Wis./Palmyra-Eagle) registered a jump of 2.00 meters (6-6.75) to win the high jump with a height that ties for the eighth highest in the country so far this season.
Shelvin Garrett II (Beloit, Wis./Memorial) and
Brayden Zettle (Monroe, Wis./Monroe) finished 1-2 in the triple jump with with leaps of 14.46 meters (47-5.25) and 14.12 meters (46-4) respectively - both top 20 marks in Division III.
Kenni Czarnecki's (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) toss of 41.15 meters (135-00) in the discus moves into the top 20 in the nation as did her hammer throw distance of 48.62 meters (159-06).
