Football Preview -- Game 10 vs. UW-Eau Claire

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team hosts UW-Eau Claire in the regular season finale Saturday at Perkins Stadium. The game is the team's annual Senior Day presented by Educators Credit Union, Military Appreciation Day and Shriners Day. Kickoff is slated for 1:05 pm. The Warhawks will honor 13 seniors prior to the start of the game.

LAST TIME OUT
The Warhawks shutout UW-Stevens Point 48-0 on the road last week. UWW posted double digits in three of the four quarters including registering 31 points in the first half. The Warhawks limited UWSP to just six first downs in the entire contest.

Alec Ogden (Marshall, Wis./Monona Grove) and Jason Ceniti (Madison, Wis./Madison Memorial) split time at quarterback for the Warhawks combining to go 19-27 for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The duo added 77 yards on seven carries and two more rushing touchdowns. The UWW QBs spread the ball around with 10 different Warhawks tallying at least one reception in the game.

On the ground, Ammiel Jackson (Milwaukee, Wis./Riverside) and Brian Stanton (Plainfield, Ill./South) took on a majority of the work from the backfield with 12 and 10 carries respectively. Stanton posted his first collegiate touchdown run while Jackson led the Warhawks with 91 yards on the ground.

Defensively, Mason Stepanski (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) paced UWW with eight tackles while Trey Castella (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) had two tackles for a loss in the game. Quinn Colbert (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) tallied the team's lone interception.

The Blugolds fell the Blue Devils 38-13. UWEC recorded just 56 rushing yards in the game as the Blugolds feature a pass-heavy offensive scheme.

Harry Roubidoux was 23-38 for 223 yards and a touchdown through the air. Collin Beaudette gained just 33 yards on 16 carries. Isaac Garside picked up 146 yards on 12 catches with one touchdown reception.

Gyanni Kanellakis led the Blugold defense with 10 tackles including nine solo. Caden Tonsager posted a sack and 2.5 tackles for a loss.

The Warhawks lead the all-time series against UW-Eau Claire 50-23. UW-Whitewater carries a 20-game win streak heading into Saturday's game. UWW is 23-6 against the Blugolds at Perkins Stadium since 1968.
