Warhawk Volleyball Sweep Dubuque

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team, ranked seventh nationally according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association, capped their final home invitational of the season with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-17) sweep over Dubuque. 

The Spartans scored the very first point of the match, but the Warhawks tied it up and then never trailed the rest of the way. UWW was efficient offensively hitting over .350 in each of the first two sets and .320 for the match. Defensively, the Warhawks held Dubuque to a negative attack percentage, -.054, for the contest. 

Kirsten Anderson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) was phenomenal at the net with 10 kills in 22 attempts with just one attack error. She added a match-high five blocks. Payton Kuepers (Madison, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) hammered down six kills without committing an error adding three blocks in the match.. 

Morgan Jensen (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) tallied three aces and 22 digs while Aubrie Krzus (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South) dished out 27 assist in the match. 

The Warhawks are now 19-2 on the season and will return to Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play next week.
