The No. 12 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team was defeated 5-4 against Division II West Florida on Wednesday night at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Fla.
The Warhawks (7-3 overall) totaled nine hits but left 11 men on base in the contest.

Catcher
Ryan Norton (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) started the scoring with a solo homer with one out in the second inning to put UW-W in front by a 1-0 score.
After a 1-2-3 top of the fourth by Anfang, the Warhawks tallied three times in the bottom half of the frame. Centerfielder

Matt Scolan (Downers Grove, Ill./South) made it a four-run lead with a base hit to right field.
The Argos (15-9) cut their deficit in half with a solo homer in the fifth and a run-scoring triple in the seventh. Berendt stranded runners in scoring position in both the seventh and eighth innings to keep UWF from tying the game or taking the lead.
West Florida tied the game on a home run in the ninth and UW-Whitewater had two runners on with two outs. Norton's long fly ball was caught just in front of the fence for the final out of the inning.
The Argos took the lead in the top of the 10th before Vomhof left the bases loaded. Pinch hitter
Sam Paden (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) singled with two outs in the bottom of the frame, but UW-W was unable to tie the game.
The Warhawks finish up their spring break trip Thursday with a game against Grinnell (Iowa) starting at 10 a.m., weather pending.
