The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team was defeated twice Tuesday at the NTC Spring Games at the National Training Center complex in Clermont, Fla.
The Warhawks (3-5 overall) suffered a 12-1 setback in five innings against Hope (Mich.) before falling 4-2 against Augustana (Ill.) in the team's second game of the day.
Against Augustana (11-2), UW-Whitewater led until the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Vikings tallied three unearned runs to take a two-run advantage.

Brooke Mangler (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) socked a two-run homer down the left field line in the top of the second to provide the scoring for the Warhawks. Second baseman
Delaney Becker (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) recorded one hit and one run scored, while catcher
Kennedy Cox (Janesville, Wis./Craig) and third baseman
Grace Wickman (Wausaukee, Wis./Peshtigo) posted one hit apiece.
UW-Whitewater put the leadoff runner aboard in the top of the sixth, but Augustana recorded six straight outs the rest of the way.
Rhiann Dick (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) took the loss, allowing one earned run with three strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings of work to drop to 0-2.
Kate Cleveland (DePere, Wis./Ashwaubenon) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless frames of relief.
In the game against Hope (5-4), the Flying Dutch totaled nine runs over the first two innings to take control of the contest.

Annie Morelli (Mundelein, Ill./Mundelein) each pitched stints in relief.
The Warhawks are scheduled Wednesday to take on Middlebury (Vt.) at 8:15 a.m. Central Time and Buffalo State (N.Y.) at 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
