The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team fell to a solid UW-Eau Claire squad that has just two losses on the season 2-0 at Fiskum Field Wednesday night.
The Blugolds opened the scoring at the 14 minute mark.
Jacob Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) had a chance at the equalizer just over 30 seconds later but his shot was turned away by the UWEC keeper.
Matthew Waters (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) had an opportunity late, just seconds before the end of the half but the Blugold keeper registered the save once again.

Jake King (McHenry, Ill./McHenry West) thwarted a pair of scoring chances in the first half to keep it a one score game at the break.
UW-Whitewater had a number of scoring chances in the first 15 minutes of the second half, the best from
Jalen Holley (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) that was saved by the keeper. Holley put another shot on frame in the 62nd minute but couldn't find the back of the net.
The Blugolds added a second goal in the 78th minute. A flurry of action in a short amount of time late in the period saw two Warhawk shots on goal that were saved. leading to the final.
King registered four saves in the complete game in net for UWW.
