GAME TIME
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team returns to Perkins Stadium to host the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. The Warhawks will be celebrating Homecoming and will recognize the UW-Whitewater Hall of Fame Class of 2022 at halftime of the game.

The Warhawks fell to 3-1 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 17-13 loss at UW-Platteville last week. UW-Whitewater outplayed the Pioneers statistically, but turnovers were costly as four interceptions helped seal the win for UWP. The Warhawks put up over 300 yards of offense while holding the Pioneers to just 168, but were unable to make up the difference from takeaways. For UWP, it was their second straight win over a WIAC opponent ranked among the top 25 as they defeated UW-River Falls the previous week 21-14.

UW-River Falls bounced back from their loss to the Pioneers with a lop-sided 63-6 win over UW-Eau Claire in River Falls last week. The Falcons put up 35 points in the first quarter and followed with 21 in the second en route to the win. With 683 yards of total offense in the game, UWRF registered over 400 through the air. Three quarterbacks saw action in the game led by Kaleb Blaha's 12-18, three touchdown performance. Four different Falcon receivers caught touchdown passes in the game.

UW-Whitewater dropped seven spots and is ranked tenth in the latest d3footballl.com poll. The Warhawks are now 14th in the newest release of the American Football Coaches Association poll. UW-River Falls is ranked 21st and 22nd in the pair of polls respectively.

UW-Whitewater will recognize its 2022 Hall of Fame Class at halftime Saturday. Inductees include former Warhawk football players Justin Beaver '08 and Ryan Kleppe '08, as well as, Megan Kielar Carstens '06, Gary Garcia '08, Aaron Henderson '05, Lisa McManus Kemps '03, Lisa Irons Prien '04 and Carlene Polk '08.
