The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie at UW-Oshkosh Wednesday night.
The Warhawks and Titans were even through the first half with each team registering four shots. UW-W goalkeeper
Jude Dobrinska (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan College Prep) faced a tough challenge with three of the UW-O shots coming on frame, but the freshman keeper was up to the task turning away each opportunity.
UW-W outshot the Titans in the second half 9-6, but UW-Oshkosh still held a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal for the contest. Dobrinska made three more saves in the second half while both of UW-Whitewater's shots on goal came in the second 45 minutes.
Jessica Smeltzer (Schaumburg, Ill./James B. Conant) and
Allie Prigge (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) posted the best scoring chances for the Warhawks in the game.
The Warhawks are currently in third in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings at 3-1-1. Just two WIAC contests remain with UW-Stout coming up Saturday on the road followed by a meeting with league-leader UW-La Crosse at Fiskum Field on Saturday, October 29.
