The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team increased its offensive aggressiveness in the second half Wednesday night on its way to a 2-0 victory at Luther in a non-conference contest in Decorah, Iowa.
After a scoreless first half, the Warhawks (2-0 overall) struck twice in the first 10 minutes of the second.
Megan Howard (Lakeland, Minn./Stillwater Area) tallied what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 48th minute, finishing a cross from
Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere), who was credited with the assist.
Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) took three shots over the next seven minutes, placing the third in the upper right corner in the 55th minute to give UW-Whitewater a 2-0 advantage.
The Warhawks continued to pressure the defense of the Norse (2-4), finishing the half with 10 shots and three corner kicks. UW-W finished the match with 13 shots, including five on goal, compared with two shots for Luther.

Leah Eisenbarth (Lake Barrington, Ill./Barrington) improved to 1-1 for the season and earned her first shutout.
Brodjian totaled a team-high five shots, including one on goal, and
Elizabeth Klein (Burlington, Wis./Catholic Central) recorded two shots, including one on goal.
UW-Whitewater heads to the "W" Challenge this Friday and Saturday in Memphis, Tenn. The Warhawks will face No. 5 Washington-St. Louis to start the tournament Friday at 12 p.m.
