The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team recorded season high team scores in all four events Tuesday in a 188.675-187.075 victory at UW-La Crosse.
The Warhawks (2-1) started the meet on the uneven bars, and tallied a 46.600.
Emily North (Oklahoma City, Okla./Moore) and
Taiya Stelmachowski (Plainfield, Ill./Central) tied for fourth with matching 9.525s, good for season bests for both gymnasts.
Blaise Wilson (Thornton, Colo./Legacy) finished sixth with a 9.475, and
Estee Flom (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) placed seventh with a season-high 9.450.
UW-Whitewater continued the meet on vault with a 47.100.
Morgan McEntire (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) tied for first with a personal record mark of 9.550.
Meg McGinley (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) tied for third and matched her career best with a 9.525.
Faith Mylin (Elgin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) and
Kelsey Kollhoff (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) each posted a 9.375 to tie for sixth overall, with Kollhoff securing a season high score.
Four Warhawks placed among the top five in the floor exercise as the team registered its highest score of the night, a 47.625. Mylin placed second with a season-high 9.600, and Wilson finished just behind in third with a 9.575. McGinley and
Karina Sabol (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) tied for fifth overall with matching scores of 9.500.
Abi Hair (Oakland, Fla./West Orange) placed seventh with her 9.450, matching her season high.
Wilson and
Lauren Goble (Aurora, Colo./Legend) tied atop the leaderboard on balance beam with a score of 9.600, good for a season best for Goble. Sabol collected a 9.475, good for fifth place, and Mylin totaled a 9.350, good for seventh place.
Vanessa Olinger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) rounded out UW-W scoring with a 9.325 and tied for eighth. The team finished with a 47.350.
Wilson placed second in the all-around competition with a 37.850.
The Warhawks conclude the 2021 season next Saturday, April 3, against UW-Oshkosh. The meet is set to begin at 4 p.m. Olinger and Wilson will be recognized as part of Senior Day at Russell Arena.
