Tommy Hoy (Wauconda, Ill./Carmel Catholic) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
Hoy currently owns a 9-4 record with one pin, two technical falls and one major decision at 165 pounds. His 3-2 decision against Muzi Sitshela helped the Warhawks to a dual win against No. 13 UW-Oshkosh on Dec. 10. Two of Hoy's four losses on the season have come against top-five nationally ranked opponents, with another coming against Division II Parkside.
 
Hoy finished fifth at 165 pounds with a 4-2 record at the CUW Open on Nov. 20 and was a perfect 4-0 at the Adrian College Duals on Nov. 13. He is currently listed in the "Honorable Mention" category at 165 by D3wrestle.com.
 
In his second year with the program during the shortened 2020-21 season, Hoy recorded a win by decision against UW-Eau Claire's Chase Schmidt, who is currently ranked fourth in the nation by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and fifth by D3wrestle.com.  
 
Hoy is majoring in occupational safety.
