The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team scored a 184.625 Friday at its second meet of the 2020 season, a tri-meet against UW-Stout and UW-Oshkosh at Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh.
The Warhawks finished second, more than one point ahead of defending Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion UW-Stout.

Blaise Wilson (Thornton, Colo./Legacy) led UW-Whitewater by claiming the all-around title with a 36.700.
The Warhawks started the night on balance beam, posting a team score of 45.850. Senior
Lauren Marshall (Winthrop Harbor, Ill./Zion-Benton Township) tied for fifth overall with a 9.475, and freshman
Faith Mylin (Elgin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) was close behind with a 9.350, good for ninth place. Freshman
Karina Sabol (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) tied for 10th with her 9.200. Junior
Vanessa Olinger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) claimed 13th place with a 9.025, and Wilson finished 14th with her 8.800.
Three UW-Whitewater gymnasts placed among the top five in the floor exercise to lead the team to a 47.225, the best team score in any event. Sabol tied for second with a 9.525, Wilson placed fourth with a 9.475 and Olinger finished fifth with a 9.450. Freshman
Meg McGinley (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) recorded a 9.425 to tie for sixth, and senior
Acacia Fossum (Gladstone, N.D./Richardton-Taylor) tied for ninth with a 9.350.
Marshall finished second on vault with a 9.425 to lead the Warhawks to a 46.150. Sophomore
Rachel Lewellen (Ripley, Miss./Ripley) placed seventh with a 9.300, and Mylin tied for 10th with a 9.175. McGinley and Wilson tied for 13th with matching 9.125s.
UW-Whitewater closed the meet on uneven bars, earning a score of 45.400. Freshman
Taiya Stelmachowski (Plainfield, Ill./Central) finished as runner-up with a 9.400. Fossum tied for third with a 9.350, and Wilson placed fifth with a 9.300. Mylin collected an 8.700 to finish 12th, and McEntire placed 13th with her 8.650.
The Warhawks visit UW-Eau Claire next Saturday, Jan. 25, for a 4 p.m. dual meet.
