The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team welcomes its alumni back to Perkins Stadium next Saturday, Oct. 5, for the game against UW-Eau Claire, which begins at 2 p.m.
 
The Warhawks-Blugolds match-up is also part of UW-Whitewater's annual Family Fest for students, faculty and staff to host family members on campus.
 
As part of Alumni Day, the following championship anniversaries will be recognized on the field at the end of the first quarter:
 
1969 WIAC champions (50th anniversary)
1974 WIAC champions (45th anniversary)
1984 WIAC champions (35th anniversary)
1994 WIAC champions (25th anniversary)
2009 WIAC champions/NCAA Division III national champions (10th anniversary)
2014 WIAC champions/NCAA Division III national champions (fifth anniversary)
 
All football alumni in attendance will be recognized by decade on the field at halftime. Alums who would like to RSVP or have questions are encouraged to contact the Warhawk football office at 262-472-1453 or warhawkfootball@uww.edu.
 
Family Fest includes events for children of all ages, including the Kids Jr. Pom Pom Clinic (grades K-8) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and Willie's Fun Zone, which opens at 11 a.m. and features photos with Willie Warhawk, playing basketball with the UW-Whitewater men's and women's club wheelchair basketball teams, a keychain workshop with Roberta's Art Gallery, face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy and a live DJ.

The Warhawk Concert Series also continues at 12 p.m. with the Eddie Butts Band, which plays a blend of pop, funk, top 40, adult contemporary and R&B.
